Abstract:   (140 Views)
This article examines and presents a model of those verses of the Holy Quran that refer to Judaism and Christianity. Based on the frequency, all the Quranic verses related to Christianity and Judaism were extracted from the Quran and examined in order to determine by comparing them whether the verses of the Quran are more related to Christianity or Judaism? Accordingly, the purpose of writing this article is to determine whether the verses of the Holy Quran emphasize Christianity or Judaism more. In order to investigate this goal, the library and descriptive-analytical research methods were used.
The findings obtained in this study show that the Quran has approved the principle of Jewish theology in various verses, and it seems that the influential figures of the Jewish people enjoy greater greatness in the Quran. But the Quran contains a lot of criticism of the Jewish people, their past beliefs and practices, and the treatment of the Prophet (PBUH) and Muslims with the Jews of the Arabian Peninsula. It is most likely that the contemporary Jews who lived in Medina during the time of the Prophet and their behavior towards the Prophet (PBUH) were effective in portraying the face of Judaism in the verses of the Quran. Many verses have been revealed in the Holy Quran, and on the other hand, the tone of the Quran towards Christianity is very calm and refers to issues that have always been of concern to Christianity. However, the Quran does not address the life of the Prophet Jesus (PBUH). The main question of this article is why the Holy Quran addresses Christianity less than Judaism and can this be a reflection of the social situation of the society?
